(MARRCC)

IT Spec Sheet and Frequently Asked Questions
MARRCC 2

What application types are available?
What operating system or platform is required for the MARRCC?
The MARRCC 2 is written in Visual Basic 6. The user machines require Windows ME or higher using any processor speed. The client server and terminal server types require Microsoft Windows Server (NT or later) with Microsoft SQL Server installed. The MARRCC 2 will run with CITRIX.

How much space is required for installation?
The application requires 15MB of disk space on the users hard drive for the client server and single facility types and increases in size approximately 1 megabyte for every 1000 residents entered or 1 megabyte for each 100 assessments saved.

Do I need any other software installed in order to run the MARRCC?
No. The application program, which resides on each client machine is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and will run independently. The SQL Server database, which resides on the server, is ready to run once it is attached. The reports are run using ComponentOne XML files which are automatically installed with the installation CD.

Can I upgrade my current MARRCC version 1 application to this version 2?
Yes, this version can convert resident data from older versions of the MARRCC. Version 2 has a more user friendly goals/care plan screen, can save and view prior assessments/ recreation notes, and has full size screens so assessment screens don’t need to be split.

Can I make changes to the MARRCC?
No, the MARRCC database is distributed as an EXE file and users cannot make any changes to screens or reports.

Can I back up the data file?
The single facility MARRCC 2 automatically backs up the data file MarcNet.mdb weekly into the installation path and keeps a running copy of the last one month of backups. You should periodically copy the latest backup file outside of your computer for added safety.

How do I pay for the MARRCC?
The MARRCC may be paid for in your country's currency, please.

Can I contact any current users of the MARRCC for their feedback and input?
